- Led by Professor Léonard WANTCHEKON, IERPE offers technical assistance to Francophone countries within the Afrobarometer network.
- IERPE is the only center based in Africa that participated in the design of the Mo Ibrahim Foundation Index on Governance.
- More than 83% of training at IERPE is provided by professors from renowned universities in North America, Europe and Africa, notably Yves Atchadé (Michigan University, USA), Guy Lacroix (Univeristé de Laval), Olivier Compte (ENCP, Paris), Cyriaque Edon (Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgique), Jean Francois Laslier (Université Polytechnique, Paris), Charles Moumouni (Université de Laval), Franck Portier (Université de Toulouse), and Léonard Wantéchkon (New York University – IERPE).
- More than 40% of students hail from neighboring countries (Togo, Burkina Faso, Cote d'Ivoire, etc.).
- IERPE was one of the 22 African centers (among 300) selected in June 2009 as part of the Think Thank Initiative aimed at assisting in research, with the support of the Canadian research Center for International Development (CRDI in French).
