Second edition of the school from francophone countries in the Afrobarometer network
The school in the Afrobarometer network opens its arms to its second edition, from Wednesday February 11th to February 27th 2009 in Cotonou. It was jointly organised by L'IREEP and the French centre of research DIAL (Development, Institution, and Long term analyses).
In these circumstances, 33 students from regional universities and research centers, non-governmental organizations, and developmental aid agencies came together for this second edition. They represent 7 countries: Benin, Burkina-Faso, Ivory Coast, Madagascar, Mali, Senegal, and Togo. Also, there were 9 professors and researchers who covered certain themes: research methodology, data analysis, econometrics of qualitative variables, causal inference, introduction to SPSS and STATA, democracy and citizenship, governance and public policy, democratic institutions, historical determinants of contemporary political values, social capital
